Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about Valentine’s Day — not the chocolates, not the cards, not the grand gestures, but what it really means to love.
It seems that, more and more, people have forgotten the depth of true love. We celebrate the idea, the surface, the quick thrill — but what about presence, devotion, gentleness, and the quiet acts that actually sustain a bond?
This painting grew out of that reflection. Every element carries meaning:
The two doves are not just birds — they are loyalty, trust, and peace.
The ribbon that holds them is not a constraint, but a bond tied with care, connected to something enduring, like the ancient bow it springs from.
The canopy above them evokes protection, reverence, the sacred space love deserves.
Nothing here is accidental. Can you find the rest? Every color, every line, every symbol is an invitation to pause and reflect: what does it mean to truly love? Not in fleeting moments, but in the patience, in the attentiveness, in the courage to be vulnerable and present.
In a world that rushes through gestures and messages, this piece is a quiet reminder: love, at its deepest, asks for presence. It asks for recognition, for care, for meaning. And perhaps, somewhere inside, we all still know what that feels like — if we take the time to see it.
